  • Responsible for purchase activities like identifying and developing the vendors.
  • Shall participate in the price negotiations and cost reduction activities.
  • Shall interact with the clients, stores, sites and head office for procurement/ supply.

Role & responsibilities:


  • Vendor location, selection, development.
  • Performance evaluation.
  • Vendor master Quotations.
  • Offer comparisons, Technical & commercial negotiations and finalising terms and conditions,
  • Purchase orders formats and rising of purchase orders.
  • Orders follow up.
  • Purchase records & histories.
  • Purchase accounting.
  • Purchase planning and budgeting
  • Planning of purchase requirements as per manufacturing schedule/purchase indent.
  • Monitoring of delivery.
  • Follow up with suppliers
  • To ensure implementation of laid down Quality Measurement Standard
  • Budgetary control
  • Material Management with minimum inventory approach
  • Manage the day-to-day inventory for running of the factory.
  • Negotiation with supplier for economical pricing for best quality material
  • Localization of imported parts.
  • Obtaining material at lower price by developing of new sources, price negotiations with vendors, etc.
  • Receiving of goods & processing of receiving documents.


Job profile:


  • Graduate (Sc.) / Diploma Engg., Good oral & written communication in English & Hindi (oral).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Good knowledge of product used in construction industry.
  • Understanding of company’s policies & practice.
  • Good knowledge of excise, sales tax etc
  • Rate Negotiation Skill.
  • Good understanding & familiarity with Computers & applications,
  • Strong inter-personnel skills.
  • Systematic, disciplined & prompt work style
  • Min. 6 years in industrial purchase, Min. 2 years with independent charge of whole / part of purchase.
  • Familiar with all records, documentation, procedures and systems of purchase, material planning & budgeting, vendor location and development.
  • Transparent, fully accountable, systematic work style, Promoting & maintaining cordial business relations
